THE FOUNDING OF FOREMOST

Foremost provides first and second mortgage loans, up to $20 million, for construction projects in Ontario. Since its founding in 1987, Foremost has remained focused on construction financing  for residential infill, industrial and commercial projects, as well as providing term loans for commercial and industrial income-producing properties. With this experience, Foremost knows construction projects and commercial ventures need flexibility from their lender, as that is what allows these endeavors to succeed. You can depend on Foremost to treat you with respect, exceed your expectations, and follow through on its promises. 

Foremost has been managing pooled mortgage funds for investors since 1991. We provide qualified investors the opportunity to invest in high-quality alternative mortgages through our well-established mortgage funds, Foremost Mortgage Trust, which holds primarily first mortgages, and Foremost High Yield Mortgage Fund, which holds primarily second mortgages. Foremost is regulated by the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) as an Exempt Market Dealer. It is also licensed with the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA) as a mortgage Brokerage and Administrator.

Through Foremost.RE, an open-ended equity fund that invests opportunistically across real estate asset classes and geographies, Foremost provides investors with real estate ownership access. Foremost.RE’s primary focus is acquiring income-producing properties in good locations, with strong value-add potential, and future redevelopment upside.
