Matt Gonsalves is a Vice President, Broker, and loan originator at Foremost Financial, specializing in construction and land development financing across the Greater Toronto Area, Kitchener-Waterloo, Hamilton, Barrie, and Collingwood. Since joining Foremost in 2013, Matt has become one of the industry’s leading loan originators in the small-scale development and Missing Middle housing space.
Over the course of his career, Matt has structured financing for a wide range of real estate projects, including land acquisitions, land development and site servicing, custom home construction, small detached home subdivisions, Missing Middle housing projects (including multiplexes, townhomes, and walk-up apartments), bridge loans on commercial and residential properties, and inventory financing for condominium developments. He has also financed commercial construction projects such as industrial condominiums, daycare facilities, and conference centres.
Matt is particularly known for his expertise in financing multiplex construction and small infill housing developments in Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area. Developers rely on him for responsive service, practical deal structuring, and a deep understanding of the economics of small-scale urban development.
Matt holds an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University.
